Judaism has been a religion for thousands of years, it is monotheistic meaning that they had one god and that was a source of conflict with other religions since they were polytheistic which means that they had more than one god. The sacred text is called The Torah, their popular cultural traditions are that eating pork is forbidden and that Jews only marry other Jews.

    Hinduism is the oldest religion and it is very important to learn about this religion because it can possibly explain the way people behave today. Hinduism has been known since the year 2000 BC. The religion has had a huge impact in history because regardless if the time and the problems that it had it is a religion that people practice today mainly in India and Nepal.

    The Japanese government enjoyed trading with European countries but many religious conflicts came their way. From 1640-1853 Japan was isolated while the rest of Asia was being imperialized. In the early 1800's Japan negotiated trade rights with the USA, Russia, etc. In 1867 Tokugawa stepped down which caused 600 years if military dictatorship for the country.

    The importance to learn about this revolution is that new things sometimes can bring new problems. In the 1700's Czar Peter the Great expanded and modernized Russia, bringing new fashion, new democratic reforms, which also brought violence into the country. In 1903 Vladimir Lenin created a group that supported a revolutionary overthrow against the Russian government. By 1927 after civilians fought for years for freedom, Joseph Stalin gained absolute power over Russia which controlled everything

    The Opium war is an important event because it shows how helpful it is for a country to avoid the consumption of drugs. In the 19th century Britain, France and China were having conflicts. The British started to export drugs to China as a payment for trading porcelain and tea. In 1839 the Chinese government decided to order large quantities of Opium and in 1940 they received it along with military defeats and later they signed humiliating peace terms, also known as the "Unequal Treaty".

    this event is very important in history because it shows that the fact of having the wrong type of government can affect the country in every way. The French Revolution is considered a financial conflict. After the death of Louis XIV, Louis XV and Louis XVI continued to rule France in absolute monarchs. France was fighting against the monarchy in the country and that lasted from 1789-1799 which had as a result a republican type of government.

    This event is considered one of the worst events in history because millions of Jews died during the dictation of Hitler. The Holocaust was the destruction of the Jews, in the 1940's the Nazis led by Hitler created many concentration camps with the purpose to get ride of the Jewish population, killing more than 6 million of people. In the last years of the Holocaust Adolf Hitler tried to kill people faster to get the evidence away just so that he would not pay for his crimes.

    World War 2 was an important event because it caused the destruction of the fascist governments of Germany, Italy and Japan and ended Fascism as a major way of government. High unemployment, totalitarian dictators, and extreme nationalism were some of the causes the event. Britain, France, the Soviet Union, the United States and China were part of the allied powers that after years of war, they were able to win the war by 1945.

    The India-Pakistan War is an important event because it shows how a simple error can cause difficulties to other people. There was an economic conflict between East Pakistani and Pakistan which led to a fighting that forced 10 million East Pakistani Bengalis to flee to India. When Pakistan attacked Indian airfields in Kashmir, India attacked both East and West Pakistan. It occupied the eastern half, which declared its independence as Bangladesh, on Dec. 6, 1971.

    Chile Genocide
    The Chilean Genocide is critical because it did not happen long ago and just like every genocide it was very violent. The Chilean Genocide occurred in 1970's to 1990's. When the Chilean military overthrew president Salvador Allende by staging a coup, General Pinochet became the dictator of Chile in 1973. September 11, of 1973, was when the Chilean Genocide began. Under Pinochet's rule more than 3,000 victims of the country were victims of assassination, torture, abused, cruelly kept in camps.
