NATO stands for the North Atlantic Treaty Organization. It is a political and military alliance of European and North American alliances. Security is also one of their main concerns, and goals. -

This was a war between South and North Korea. This war started when North Korea advanced across the 38th parallell invading South Korea, which was part of South Korea's territory. -

Bay Of Pigs
The Bay of Pigs was an unsuccessful invasion on Cuba by Cuban refugies (they did it for us). It was unsuccessful cause Castro knew what was going to happen. This event led to the cuban missle crisis. -
Berlin Wall Goes up
The Berlin Wall went up to seperate East and West Berlin to keep people from hopping over each others border during the war between one and other. -
Cuban Missile Crisis
Russia planted missiles in Cuba to possibly use on us, but the president of the United States had ships go out to the sea to intercept those bombs, but before we could do that, Russian took the missiles back. -
German Reunification/Fall of Berlin Wall
Both governments came to an agreement, and decided to become one, so then the Berlin Wall did not exist to governments or societies. -
Collapse of the Soviet Union
The collapse of the Soviet Union occured when all 15 republics of the Soviet Union declared their independence.
