Parents my put in a referral for their child or the school may put in a referral for the student after alerting the parents.

The school will determine whether the student can be helped using services which are already provided or whether additional information/evaluations are required.

A written account of the referral meeting will be sent to the parents no more than 15 days after the referral meeting occurs. If additional evaluation is required, the disposition will include a consent form to conduct these evaluations.

Parents must consent to evaluation before evaluations can take place.

The initial evaluation must be completed within 60 days of parental consent.

Initial Evaluation may be extended up to 30 days.

Within 30 days of eligibility the school must develop an IEP team and begin developing an IEP for the student.

Parents must receive a written notice of an IEP meeting no less than 10 days before the meeting is to occur annually.

Parents will meet for annually to discuss updated IEP.
