The Battle of Britain was one of the key battles in World War II. Germany was aiming to invade Great Britain, but they couldn't proceed unless they destroyed Great Britain's Royal Air Force. Germany bombed Great Britain to try and destroy their air force and prepare their own forces for invasion. -

On June 22, 1941, Hitler dispatched his forces to the east to try and invade the Soviet Union. Over 3 million of Hitler's soldiers and 3 thousand tanks went straight into the Soviet territory. -

Operation Torch was the Anglo-American invasion of French Morocco and Algeria during World War II. Operation Torch began on November 8 and ended on November 16, 1942. The invading forces had to fight French opposition in territories controlled by the Vichy Regime to succeed with taking over France. -

Operation Overlord was the codename for the Battle of Normandy. Operation Overlord (Battle of Normandy) was an Allied operation that launched a successful invasion of Western Europe during World War 2. Around 160,000 troops crossed the English Channel on 6 June, and over two million Allied troops were in France by the end of August. -

The Yalta Conference was a conference within Yalta, where the Big Three decided that after Germany's surrender, it would be divided into four occupation zones, controlled by the United States, Britian, France and the Soviet military forces.
