It was initiated by Adolf Hitler, and although the strategy was successful at the beginning, due to harsh weather conditions and many strategic inabilities, and also the resistance and attacks of the Soviet Union, the campaign ended up failing.

The Yalta Conference was a meeting conducted for three WW2 allies, which included, the US President, British Prime Minister, and Soviet Premier. The three of them met up at a resort for the first time along the Black Sea coast located in Yalta. They had various discussions concerning the fate of Germany due to the defeat of the post-war, the terms of the Soviet. The Conference started on February 4, 1945 and ended on February 11, 1945.
