  • Bernardo Razzimazi

    He was an Italian doctor that wrote a book call Diseases of Workers. It dealt with the diseases that workers would normally get .He died on November 5, 1714.
  • Industrial Revolution

    It was not just one date, it was period of time and that period was from 1750-1850. The industrial revolution was an increase and the growing of many goods, resources and machines. One machine that was created was a steam engine and eventually around 1850 the second industrial revolution formed.
  • General Motors

    The company was founded in Flint, Michigan, as a holding company for Buick. GM manufactures cars and truck in over 35 countries.
  • Civilian Conservation Corps

    It was created by President Frankin Delano Roosevelt. The Civilian Conversation Corps hired unemployed American men between eighteen and twenty-five years of age to work on various government projects.
  • World War 2

    It was a war between the Allies and the Axis, the war lasted from 1939-1945. It was a war on who would have more power but in the end, the Allies beat the Axis in 1945.
  • Tragedy of the Commons

    It was the title of an article written by Garrett Hardin. Its a dilemma arising from the situation in which multiple individuals, acting independently and rationally consulting for only their best interset, will get rid of shared limited resource.
  • Rainbow Warrior (sunk)

    The ship was 131 ft 3 in long. The ship sunk in a harbour in New Zealand by operatives of the French intelligence service.
  • Chernobyl

    It was a power plant in the Ukraine and was ran by the Soviets. There were over 500.000 workers and on that Saturday the fourth reactor expolded. There were large quantites of radiation in the atmosphere and killed 31 people but the disater did cause alot of long term illnesses.
  • Exxon Valdez

    260,000-750,000 barrels were spilled in Prince William Sound, Alaska. The oil slick eventually extended 470 miles southwest from Bligh Reef.
  • Persian Gulf War

    It ended on February 28, 1991. The battle was against Coalition Forces and Iraq. For the Coalition there were 482 that were killed. The lraq had 20,000-35,000 killed.
  • China's Three Gorges Dam

    It opened in 2008. It cost $26 billion to build the dam. The dam is 594 ft high and 7,661 ft long.
  • 9/11

    On this day al-Qaeda suicide attacker crashed two plane into the twin towers in New York. 2,996 people died at the end of the tragedy.
  • "An Inconventient Truth"

    It was a documentary film directed by Davis Guggenhiem. It was created by educate and inform people about global warming. Worlwide the film made $49 million at the box office.
  • BP Gulf Oil Spill

    BP's oil rig exploded on the Gulf of Mexico. The rig was drilling but not in production yet. Out of the 126 workers on the rig, after the explosion there were 11 to 15 workers missing.
  • Agriculture Revolution

    It ocurred between the eighteenth centries and the ninteenth centries in the US and the United Kingdom. It was a period marked by rapid advancements in agricultural productivity and developments in farming technology.
