The word firearm was first used when someone would hold a match to light a cannon. It then became a synonym for gun. Guns were first introduced in the dark ages. The main type of gun was the matchlock and soon after the wheellock was introduced. -

The map is based on ptolemy's book Geographia. This map also has the mediteranean sea and the indian ocean on it. The book that helped make this map has been translated in to a couple of different languages. There are many refrences in plotemy's book that helped him make the lost map. This map is now in the congress building. -

The spainard bolba, the stowaway founded the pacific ocean. The pacific ocean was founded on accident. The ship was wrecked and they needed to reconcile and find there way back home. That is when they stubled across the pacific ocean. -

This disease was suspected to have killed 90-95% of the native americans. Many new world populations were affected by this horrible disease. The native maericans had no immune to t because smallpox was on of the few diseases they have ever been exposed to. They were wipedout due to the europeans invading there land. -

The spainsh built there new capital by capturing the aztec empire. The spanish came by sea with about 550 soldiers and 16 horses. THe location the new capital was built was right on the spot of the old aztec capital, Tenochitlan. This land was choosen because it was the heartland of the empire. -

When the spanishe were in new mexico they encountered the pueblo people. Exploration up the Rio Grande Valley by the athabaskan people led to hostile conquests of the spanish for many years.Aat the same time on the opposite side of the new world the french were making a new colony. This area is the biggest province of what is known now to be canada. Quebec is surronded by many bodies of water. including the hudson bay, james bay, ulf of strait lawerence nad many others. -
Conclusion
I choose these events because I thought they were most important to the new world. They were all about exploring new places. Also due to us exploring populations were wiped out and peoples land was taken over. Furthermore new inventions were made and discoverd.
