    This movement looked into how the brain of a child develops. It has guided teachers to make lesson plans that the students will be able to comprehend easily and efficiently. It paved a way for teachers to have more information on the students.
  • The Great Depression

    The Great Depression
    During this time period schools began to see a change. Money was given to hire more teachers and for school supplies. Schools were also being built to be bigger. This started to create a school environment for more students to have a chance to learn more.
  • Brown vs. Board

    Brown vs. Board
    This was a time when the law realized "Separate but Equal" was not equal at all. This paved the way for allowing schools to be a place for every culture and ethnicity to receive an education. Today, many schools are still becoming more diverse and there are things to learn about people from everywhere in the world.

    PL 94-142: Children with Disabilities
    Children with disabilities are able to go to school and receive the help they need to succeed in school. There have been many ways schools are assisting these students and it continues to increase in most schools.
  • No Child Left Behind

    No Child Left Behind
    This act allows students to get an education even if their parents do not have the means to support it. It has helped many students stay in school when they might have dropped out if they did not receive help. Many people are impacted by poverty and this might help decrease a students chance of it in their future.
