The Brown v. Board of Education case, above any, has been an inspirational turning point for schools and families across the United States. Providing racially mixed classrooms has equalized educational resources and increased academic outcomes that are still positively influencing schools today. -
Bringing Special Education to Public Schools
Thanks to the persistence of parents of special needs children, and the inspiration of the Brown case, schools can now provide teachers the necessary training and preparation to include special needs children in a nondisabled classroom setting. This has provided equality of opportunity in schools across the United States. -
Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA)
Updated from the original NCLB Act and ESEA, the Every Student Succeeds Act now creates curriculum in schools with higher academic standards to prepare students for college and career levels. Doing so has showed results, including the highest graduation rates and lowest dropout rates in history, setting the significance of this event above any other.
