    Exploring Culture
Culture is everything that makes up someones way of life. This includes their background and heritage, to where they grew up, how they grew up, the language that they grew up speaking and hearing. What kind of foods they ate, whether they practice a religion, basically everything that has been a part of the way they live their life is considered their culture. One main aspect is their social group, whether they are religious or if they have a certain occupation, or live in a different country.

How does multicultural education reflect responsive teaching
Multicultural education responsive teaching has started to assist to meet the needs of diverse student populations in various ways. It has given teachers a more rounded understanding of the students so they can gear their teaching to work one on one with some students rather than constantly as a whole class. For example in the “Common Miracle,” not all children learn the in the same process, some are visual some are auditory etc. An understanding of this then the teachers can accomodate lessons.
  • How can multicultural education affect broader social issues that impact our society?

How can multicultural education affect broader social issues that impact our society?
If children are taught about different cultures and backgrounds when they are young, then they will grow up with an understanding and willingness to learn about other cultures as well. Hopefully this would make a more fair and understanding world if children would grow up learning and experiences what other cultures have to offer.
  • What other significant insight(s) have you gained

What other significant insight(s) have you gained
Other significant insights I have gained is to truly use all the resources given to us as teachers. No child in your classroom should ever feel left behind from either a language barrier, learning disability, learning style, or anything. Everything I have learned and gained over this course will affect my profession and personal life, being more aware of the different cltures around me, gaining experiences with them as much as possible, which will improve me and my teaching.
