Edison School becomes AUSD's first and only IBD lab school for grades 3rd - 5th. This further contributes to our vision of being a community of readers

Working with the district architectural firm, Edison will begin the modernization planning process. This will include evaluating the current learning spaces and making decisions about how to bring our 1942 school into the 21st century.

Teachers will continue to develop their expertise, comfort, and knowledge of 21st century learning tools. This work will be focused on preparing for a transition to student 1-to-1 device usage in the 2018-2019 school year.

After a year of planning, the school will undergo construction to create more advanced and flexible learning environments, increase the school's capacity for and use of technology, and to make it a safer space.

Grades K - 2nd will join the IBD lab school as we create and adapt curriculum for our early elementary students.

Staff learns about and plans for PBL implementation for the 2018-2019 school year.

Once modernization for the building is complete, we will introduce 1-to-1 devices for grades 3rd - 5th.
