Jan 19, 1809 Edgar Allan Poe was born 1811 His father abandoned his family when he was 2 years old . 1812 A little bit later his mother died. 1812 He got adopted by Allen Family 1823 He started writing poems at the age of 14. 1826 At the age of 17 he was already attending The University of Virginia 1826 His father stopped sending him money so he stopped going to university 1826 He became an alcohol addict. 1827 He decided to enter the US army . 1830 His step father John Allen decided to make him continue the studies . 1834 His father died without including him in his will . 1840 Edgar joined George R. Graham at the Graham’s magazine. 1845 He published his first great horror story “THE RAVEN” 1847 When he was only 24 the same age of her biological mother and older brother when they died, his wife died of tuberculosis. Oct 7, 1849 In the end he died on October 7th 1849
