    Printing Press

    Johannas Gutenberg invented the groundbreaking system of moveable type, allowing ideas to be spread rapidly around Europe and also allowing new modernizations to jewish culture to spread quickly. Although this isnt an exclusively Jewish event, it drastically changed the way ideas spread, which permanently altered how cultures developed. So, i think it is the beginning of the early modern period.

    Spanish Expulsion

    With the Edict of expulsion, Jews are kicked out of spain, opening up a new era of the Jewish cycle. Be persecuted, flee to another area for economic and religious freedom, and be very successful for a while until feces hits the fan and evacuation is recquired once again.

    The Venice Ghetto is established, as a place for jews in venice to live seperated from the rest of the venetians, while still doing buisness with them. Although these conditions weren't great, they were the best there were. Several Jewish traits and events of historical importance developed in this ghetto over time.

    Shulchan Aruch

    Yosef Cairo wrote this landmark of authoritive legal code in Judaism, having a MAJOR impact on Jewish lifestyle and ideals everywhere. It was published in Venice as a compilation of almost all jewish halacha in one book, making torah study much more convenient for jews, while also inspiring a lot of controversy.
