Dwyer Educational Technology Timeline

  • Measure Q

    Measure Q
Our community passed a bond measure, Measure Q, that will allow our students and teachers the ability to transform our learning, much through the use of technology. It will provide our schools with new furniture, infrastructure, technology, and training.
  • CUE Conference

    CUE Conference
At Computer Using Educators conference, our team had the opportunity to engage in a number of sessions to improve and/or incorporate educational technology.
  • LEC Module III

    LEC Module III
As part of our Leading Edge Certification, I read on a number of future trends and educational technology practices that have given me food for thought on how to approach moving our school to 21st century learning.
  • Current State of Educational Technology

Dwyer has been increasing its technology steadily. We have a number of chrome book carts and computer labs. We currently use google suites, however, not all our teachers incorporate into their instruction and assessment. We use a number of instructional tools and adaptive technology (GiGi, Aleks, Lexia Strategies). We have social media accounts on Facebook and Instragram.
  • Mini Cue

    Mini Cue
This gives our teachers the opportunity to attend a session from one of our teachers who attended CUE. At this session, teachers will have the opportunity to be introduced to new technology and ask questions to improve instruction.
  • Technology Collaboration Meeting

    Technology Collaboration Meeting
By December of 2017, have a meeting where we develop a process to improve student choice and output for content mastery. My goal is to come up with 5 school wide applications that students can use and that teachers are proficient in navigating. This does mean that students can't use additional "authoring their own content" tools, but to have a handful of ones that our school adopts allows the continual implementation of student choice.
  • Staff Meeting

    Staff Meeting
By the end of 2017-2018, our team will meet again to discuss which "authoring your own content" tools we will adopt and then begin implementation for role out and training. It is important to know, that students will be a part of the discussion
