    Manifesto for Cyborgs
    Donna Haraway published "Manifesto for Cyborgs” as an attempt to create a standing symbol for the likes of feminism, socialism, and materialism. She wanted to help pave the way for the success of feminism and science in the future.
  • Situated Knowledges

    Situated Knowledges
    Donna Haraway’s “Situated Knowledges” was written as a commentary on "The Science Question in Feminism" by Sandra Harding as well as in reply to Harding's "Successor Science". Via this paper, Haraway challenges gender roles, the concept of objectivity and illuminates the vision she had for feminist science. It was in this paper that Haraway introduces the idea of feminist version of objectivity within the world of science, which she calls "Feminist Empiricism".

    Primate Visions
    In “Primate Visions: Gender, Race, and Nature in the World of Modern Science”, Haraway focused on the history of science and biology as it pertained to primate behavior. One of the points that she made was that the language used to describe sexual behavior between primates reinforce gender roles and sexism i.e. “aggressive males and receptive females” Haraway used “Primate Visions” as a tool to question societies views and boundaries on social class, race, and gender.
  • Scientific Objectivity

    Scientific Objectivity
    Donna Haraway helped provide a revolutionary perspective that challenged the traditional ideologies held in the world of technoscience. She encouraged feminists to become more involved in science and scientific research; and also made it known that her desire was for the voices of all scientists, activists scholars, engineers and cultural producers and others to be heard, regardless of gender.
