John Dight purchases a Melbourne block, 88. The block was 26 acres and runs along the Yarra river. -

john Dight builds his flour mill. he uses the river to power the mill, water flowed into a channel in order to turn an undershot water wheel. John Dights built a stone weir. -

The Dight family abandons the flour mill. -
1875
The mill was born by Edwin Trennery, he sub - divides the land. -
1888
Flour millers, Gillespie, Atkins and Scott construct an new mill at the building site -
1891
This vendor was sold to the 'Melbourne Flour Miller Company' -
1895
A timber structure was built to provide water to the mill. -
1909
The mill was destroyed by a fire. -
1940
The weir was built using 1.5 tones of rock after a breach. -
1968
Original timber pines were capped with concrete. -
1993
Melbourne water builds a rock fishway, this is after they realise the weir is a barrier for the fish population. -

A new and more effective fishway was built.
