    Ptolemaic Theory

    Ptolemaic Theory
This theory stated that all of the other planets and stars all revolved around the earth; The earth was the center of it all. THe difference was that there was something that was the center of it all and not just randomly going somewhere.

    Aristotle's Theory

Stated that all of the objects moved towards their "natural place". The lighter the objects were the faster they moved.
  • Newton's Theory

Newton's theory explained (through math) that there was gravity everywhere not just on earth. This differed from past ideas because they thought it was only "available" on earth (gravity).
  • Cavendish Theory

Believed the same thing as the Newton Theory, used the math to solve gravity's constant.
  • Einstein's Theory

Einstein believed that gravity wasn't a force at all, he thought it was a distortion in the shape of space/time (the 4th demension).
