Laws are very important. Especially the laws we have now. Without the codes that the Athenians made, we may not have the laws we have now, and our whole government system could be completely different than it is now, and we might not be a sucessful democracy.

This was an important event because it developed the military laws, and that is important because our military is important now, and if they didn't develop that law, are military may not have existed, or been as powerful as is it now.
