Declaratory Act of 1766

    It allowed Parliament to pass laws over the colonies, "in all cases whatsoever".

    The reaction was a celebratory time for the residents of the colonies. They were excited about the changes that were to come from the change from the Stamp Act to the Declaratory Act.
