    Carriages were made and used by the middle and lower class. The farmers also used carriages. However, the higher class used buggy's to show that they were wealthy. The fist ever bicycle was invented in 1790. These two wheeled machines became more popular and more common in the 1900's. All working people had bicycles.

    A trolley, tram, or street car whatever you call it is a rail vehicle which runs on tramway tracks along public urban streets. The first trolley was pulled by horses but then later became attached to cables.

    Over the years there has been much debate on whom truly invented the first automobile. However, the most known for accomplishing this task would be Henry Ford. Henry Ford first invented the automobile in 1901. It was a 26-horse power. The gasoline tank was a cylinder that was found in the back of the automobile.

    Another big piece of transportation we use is an airplane. The first airplane was invented in 1903 by the Wright brothers.This has been very beneficial to us because if they hadn't had done that then we couldn't experience the incredible feeling it is to fly.

    Something that young people used to be interested in was skateboarding. Originally called "sideways surfing" was first invented in the late 1940's. Skateboarding these days have a bunch of crazy tricks and flips but most people used to ride them to get to work or school.
