    Takes Hymes theory and design in a structuralism idea from it in seven FUNCTIONS or INTENTIONS:
    1.Instrumental 2.Heuristic 3.Interpersonal 4.Regulatory 5.Imaginative 6.Representative 7. Personal

    Takes the theory from the previous theorist and organize this on a more practical way: Gramatical Competence (From Chomsky) Sociolinguistic Competence (from Hymes) Discourse competence (From Halliday) and He adds the Strategy competence which is; "what we do to continue communication."
  • Bachman & Palmer

    Takes the previous theory again but now the competences are known as "KNOWLEDGE" and those knowledges are divided on: Organizational Knowledge which involves: Grammatical and Textual Knowledge. And Pragmatical knowledge which involves: Sociolinguistic and Functional Knowledge. All this Knowledge is surrounded by the Context.

    Maturana in 2011 Divides this knowledges into areas that are constanly interaction each other. Organizative area: Sintax, Vocabulary, Coherence and Cohesion. Organizative (Grammatical and Textual) Linguistic + Sociolinguistic Functions and this becomes the C.C when is aknowledge the apropiate use of an intentional language.
