North Atlantic Treaty Organization. It was made to provide security to countries in it against the Soviet Union. Still exists today, persistent in the Ukraine and Russia War. -

War between North and South Korea and also involved the Americans because of communism. The U.S. lost this war. -

Competition between the Soviet Union and America to see who can essentially send someone/satellites into outer space. -
Vietnam War
War between Vietnam and other bordering countries against the U.S. The purpose of this war for the U.S. was to stop the spread of communism, which they failed. -
Bay of Pigs
Invasion directed by the U.S. government that happened in Cuba at the Bahía de Cochinos. It was to overthrow their current leader at the time, and it failed. -
Berlin Wall Comes Up
Wall that splits East Germany and West Germany. East Germany was not allowed to cross West Germany boundaries and it was East Europe (Soviets) versus West Europe (US or capitalists). -

The Soviet Union breaks peace treaty with Afghanistan in order to control the land Kabul politically and military. The Soviets withdrawal after 10 years of guerrilla warfare. -
Berlin Wall Comes Down
End of the Iron Curtain meaning the Berlin Wall has finally come down. It is the start of the fall of communism in Eastern/Central Europe.
