    On April 4, 1949, The North Atlantic Treaty Organization is a military alliance between the US and western European and North American countries. The formation took place in Washington D.C. The reason of this military alliance is that in case the soviets try to attack and spread communism into Europe. This is important, because this alliance lasts to this day. This impacted politics, because there a new alliance and increased relations and also NATO during the 1950's represented the West.

    The Korean War was a war between North Korea and South Korea. The war started when North Korea's Leader Kim il Sung attacked South Korea to unite Korea in communism by force. The North Koreans were supported by China and the U.S.S.R. The North Koreans were almost taken all of South Korean, but the Americans pushed the N Koreans into their own terrority. The NAACP helped with this case. Lawyers like Thurgood Marshall was involved in this event. Why this event is important is that it allow colored kids go to school. The Impact was that there is no-more all-white schools.

Since the US and other western European countries have NATO. It made sense to form your own pact. This event is important because after the warsaw pact was formed, NATO and the Warsaw Pact is now rivals and started to hate each other.

The UN decided to launch an air attack calling it Operation Desert Storm. 28 countries joined in to assist America. The impact was that it costs billions of dollars to rebuild iraq and about 11 million barrels of oil were spilled.

These social media sites changed how we interect with each other.
