This event took place in the U.S. between 1945-1954. This event was important because there were better healthcare for women and children. This event impacted politics. Many political officers were baby boom's.
  • Jackie Robinson

    Jackie Robinson
    Jackie Robinson was involved in this event.He was inducted to the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1962 with a .311 batting career. This event took place in Los Angeles , CA. Jackie Robinson was important to history because he was the first African American to play Major League Baseball. This event impacted society. Society was impacted because some of his teammates objected to having African Americans play on the same team as them and the public made many threat towards his family and him.
  • NATO/Warsaw Pact

    WWII Allies were involved in this event. NATO stands for North Atlantic Treaty Organization and is when members help each other if attack. This event took place in April 1949 in Brussels,Belgium.The Warsaw Pact was the Soviet Unions military alliances set up to go against NATO.This event took place in May 1955 and ended in 1991. Both of these event are important because both helped within there organization out. This event impacted politics because they were fighting against each other.

    North and South Korean was involved in this event. North Korea invaded South Korea in June 1950 and nearly almost controlled almost of South Korea. However, Macarthur caught them by surprise and pushed them back. This event was important they wanted to punish North Korea for it's aggression and Unite Korea. This event impacted society. Society was impacted by this event because Dwight Eisenhower signed a Cease Fire which was a bored at 38th parallel, set up a demilitarized zone, and many died.

    Joseph McCarthy was involved in this event. He accused people of being communist. This event took place in Wisconsin. It was important because many people were fired and he could never prove his claim. Also, McCarthy was eventually censured and lost power. This event impacted society. Society was impacted because it spread fear and suspicious of communism (Red Scare).

    Lee Harvey Oswald was involved in JFK assassination. JFK was in a open car with cheering crowds around him when Oswald shot him in the head. He shot him from the Texas Warehouse. This event took place on Friday, November 3, 1963 in Dallas, Texas. This event was important because he was our current president. JFK Assassination impacted politics/society. It impacted politics/society by many other programs not getting, passed because he was killed that could of helped society and politics.

    Gerald Fold was involved in this event. He was president between 1974-1976. Ford was a Republican and Michigan Congressman for 25 years. This event took place in Michigan. This event was important because he started trade with the soviet union. Also, was part of the Warren Commission investigating JFK assassination. This event impacted politics. It impacted politics because he pardoning Richard Nixon (formal president) for what he did.

Ronald Reagan was important because he was involved in the Iran Contra Affair and he cut $ in education. This event impacted the economy. The economy was impacted because he cut taxes and spent $100 billion on defense weapons (star wars).

    George W. Bush was involved in this event . Bush was president between 1988-1992 and was part of the Republican Party. This event took place in Texas. Furthermore, this event was important because he passed the Americans with disabilities Act and signed Test Ban Treaty for nukes. This event impacted the economy. The economy was impacted because it costed billions of dollars to rebuild including $700 million to clean up oil spills from the Persian Gulf War.

    New Orleans was involved in Hurricane Katrina. It was one of the costly U.S. hurricane and was category 5 (157+ mph). Also, was category 3 when it hit land (115-130 mph). Hurricane Katrina destroyed 80% of the city was flooded, total damage was $81 million,150,000 homes destroyed, and 900 churches. This event was important because there is still 1,836 people missing. This event impacted the economy. 70 countries people monetary donations and Kuwait made the largest single pledge of $500 million.

    Barack Obama was involved in his inauguration. Barack Obama took the Oath of office from Chief Justice John Roberts.It took place in Washington D.C. on Tuesday , January 20th, 2009. This event was important because over one million attendance with many millions of others watching television or the internet. Furthermore, this was one of the most observed global events in history. Barack Obama Inauguration impacted society because he was the first African American to become president of the U.S.

    James Earl Ray was involved in MLK assassination. James shot Dr.King with a "Remington Game master" rifle.This event took place at the Lorraine Motel. This event was important because MLK was like the leader of the Civil Rights Movement. This event impacted society because the Civil Rights Movement pretty much ended with his assassination. Meaning African Americans were on there own to keep fighting for their rights without King.
