    United Nations
    The United Nations was discussed in 1941 and was used in 1945 at the Yalta Conference. It is currently located in New York City. The four things it did was , provide vaccines, improve education, solve disease and hunger problems, and work to dispute problems between countries. The five countries who started it were America, France, China, Russia, England. This event was important because it brought peace to many countries. It impacted politics so everyone could be at peace.
  • Jackie Robinson

    Jackie Robinson
    Jackie Robinson was a negro league player who changed baseball forever. On April 15th 1947 Jackie Robinson played his first MLB game. He was the first African American to play with white baseball players. This event was important because Jackie Robinson integrated the immigrant into the MLB. It impacted the american society because everyone was angry at Robinson for playing. He was threatened to be killed. He impacted society because he integrated immigrants into the MLB.
  • NATO and Warsaw Pact

    NATO and Warsaw Pact
    NATO is a group founded by the WW2 allies. The point of the group was if an ally was attacked then NATO would help. This event takes place in the U.S. for NATO and Soviet Union for Warsaw in 1949. This event showed a conflict between the two organizations. It impacted the wars to come including Vietnam. NATO and Warsaw pact affected economy because in the future we would supply millions to other countries. It also impacted politics because our presidents were sent to have peace with countries.

    T.V. Age
    The T.V. age was a crazy age where T.V.´s were owned by almost everyone. In the 1950´s T.V. became more popular so many familys bought them. Also in 1954 the T.V. dinner was made causing families to eat around the T.V. The event made every family happy and excited to watch T.V. The T.V. age impacted society because it made people happy. It also affected society when the T.V. dinner was made because families would just throw it in and eat in front of the T.V.

    John F. Kennedy's Assassination
    On Friday, November 2nd, 1963 the unthinkable would happen in Dallas. The parade routes were put into the newspaper so everyone could see. But one man by the name of Lee Harvey Oswald decided to take advantage of that. This event was important because our 45th president John F. Kennedy was shot in the head. This event impacted society because we were very devastated. It also impacted politics because we had to have Lyndon B. Johnson sworn in on a plane.
  • Medicare and Medicaid

    Medicare and Medicaid
    In 1966 Lyndon B. Johnson helped pay off hospitals bills for the elderly. It payed off almost half of the bills. This event was important because it was the largest source of funding for people with low income. Medicare and Medicaid impacted society because it payed off half of the elderly´s bills. It also impacted the economy because the government had to pay for millions of people´s medical bills.
  • MLK Assassination

    MLK Assassination
    On April 4th 1968 in Memphis, Tennessee, Martin Luther King was supporting black sanitation workers on strike. James Earl Ray shot MLK with a Remington Game Master rifle hit MLK in his jaw severing his spinal cord. He died at 7:05 pm by motel room 306. It was a very impactful time for the African American community. It impacted politics because it caused the African Americans to fight herder for their rights. MLK´s assassination impacted society to because it ended up being a somber time after.
  • Gerald Ford

    Gerald Ford
    Gerald Ford was the president form 1974-1976. He was a Republican along with Nixon. He was a Michigan congress man for 25 years before presidency. He was only president for two years because Nixon quit halfway through his presidency. This event was important because he started trades with the Soviet Union. Gerald Ford impacted economy by setting up trades with Russia. He also impacted society because he was part of JFK´s investigation comity.
  • Bill Clinton

    Bill Clinton
    In 1992 Bill Clinton went from the governor of Arkansas to the president of the U.S. Bill Clinton was a Democrat while he ran. He helped the economy out by getting rid of debt. He also signed a test ban treaty for nukes. This event was important because he saved us from the debt and nukes. Bill Clinton impacted economy because he got rid of all of our debt. Bill Clinton also impacted society by signing the test ban treaty for nukes.
  • George W. Bush

    George W. Bush
    Before George was a president he was the Governor of Texas. One event he was in while he was president was 9/11 in New York. But while he was president Saddam Hussein was executed. 9/11 was a shocker to America and it impacted many people. George W. Bush impacted society with the slaying of Saddam Hussein. He also impacted politics when he started the war on terror after 9/11.
  • September 11th Attacks

    September 11th Attacks
    On 9/11 2001 Osama Bin Laden and the Taliban crashed a 3 planes into separate buildings of power. Two planes hit the twin towers another hit the pentagon and the last one was luckily saved by the passengers and crashed into the ground. The event took place on 9/11 2001 in New York City. This event was important because it impacted many people. 9/11 impacted society because we were in shock. 9/11 also impacted politics because it took us a while to recover, but we started the Persian Gulf war.
  • Barack Obama Inauguration

    Barack Obama Inauguration
    In Washington D.C. on Tuesday January 20th, 2009, Barack Obama was inaugurated with Abe Lincolns bible. Millions of people showed up to watch our 44th and first black president become president. It took place in Washington D.C. This event was important because he was our first ever African American president. Obama impacted politics because he was the first African American president. Obama's inauguration also impacted society because he got millions to watch his intro to presidency.
