    Korean War
    In June 1950, North Korean forces crossed the 38th parallel into South Korea. President Truman responded promptly, he wants to stopped the Communist move into South Korea. While North Korea and South Korea were on fight, China helped North Korea to win, and UN helped South Korea to win. Korean war was the first fight that occurred in Cold war. The war ended on 27 July 1953, but South and North Korea are still divided by 38th parallel line.
  • Berlin Wall

    Berlin Wall
    Before the Berlin wall built, a lot of East Germans were fleeing to West Berlin, in order to escape communism. Nikita Khrushchev did not wants that, so he built Berlin wall to dividing West Berlin from Communist East Berlin and East Germany. People were separated from their families, and never see them again, it became a symbol of Communist oppression. Huge number of people do not want the be divided, so at November 9 1989, Berlin wall were destroyed.

    President Richard Nixon was win the election of 1968, and he promised to "bring an honorable end to the war in Vietnam". He announced Vietnamization, which is the strategy that says he going to gradually withdrawing U.S. Forces and turning the ground fighting over tho the South Vietnamese. Nixon actually did that, and reelected in 1972. Vietnam war is a huge event in cold war, and he is the person who ends the Vietnam war, for United States. Richard Nixon runs his presidency until August 9 1974.

    End of Vietnam War
    The conflict in Vietnam stated when French tried to regain control of Vietnam, and U.S. entered the conflict in Vietnam in 1950. In March 8, 1965, U.S. send the first troops in Vietnam. Vietnamization was appealed, and on March 29, the last U.S. troops left Vietnam. However the war is not ended in Vietnam. On 30 April, 1975, Communist controls the Vietnam. The war then ended. Vietnam war was a huge and long standing conflict.

    Fall of Berlin Wall
    On August 13, 1961, the wall between West Berlin and East Berlin was built to stop the escaping. Because East Berlin was Communist and West Berlin is not, so a lot of East Germans fleeing to West Berlin. A lot of families were divided by this wall. In November 1989, as communism began to fall, more and more eastern Germans started to tore down the wall. Also government do not want to fight with them, so all of these ideas make wall to be destroyed. Berlin wall is a result of oppression cold war.
