    The Soviet Union who controlled East Germany and Berlin blocked off roads, canals, and railroad tracks that led into West Berlin. West Berlin was being controlled by Great Britain, France and the USA. Airplanes flew in almost every second from West Germany, dropping off supplies in West Berlin.

    Thirteen day confrontation between The Soviet Union and The USA about The Soviet Union's missile launch sites in Cuba. Ended because Kennedy and Khrushchev made a pact. USA had to take their missiles out of Turkey and leave Cuba alone and USSR had to take missiles out of Cuba.
