Formation of the Eastern Bloc
The Eastern Bloc is the former communist states in central and eastern Europe. These countries were Eastern Germany, Poland and Hungary etc. This was meant to be a buffer zone between Soviet Russia and other eastern countries -

This was a failed military invasion of Cuba undertaken by CIA military. Intended to overthrow current establishment of government. Forces were defeated within three days. -

Created to separate east and west Berlin. Russia didn't want people from east Berlin leaving Russia so they constructed a wall. west Berlin citizens sprayed graffiti on the wall to show their disgust. -

A confrontation between the Unites States and the Soviet union. This confrontation regarded ballistic missiles located in Cuban forests. -
Soviet War in Afghanistan
Soviet war in Afghanistan against Mujahideen. The United States supported the rebels to stop the spread of communism. The war left Afghanistan destroyed and broke. -
Polish Solidarity Movement
Nonviolent Protests against communist government. Consisted of over three decades of civil resistance. sort of posed as a polish renaissance. -
Tiananmen Square Massacre
Chinese troops stormed through protesters with guns and tanks. Exposed deep splits in Chinese leadership. Protesters were triggered by death of former communist leader in China. -
Fall of Berlin Wall
The fall happened as fast as it was created by the soviets. People on both sides wanted the wall torn down from the moment that it was constructed. it was gone within three hours of deconstruction. -
Fall of Soviet Union
series of independent protests brought the communist state to its knees. The Baltic states declared independence from Moscow. Then the Russian Federation broke away from the USSR.
