    The Bay of Pigs was an invasion plan against Cuba. The original invasion plan called for two air strikes against Cuban air bases. On April 17th 1961, the Bay of Pigs invasion force landed on the beaches along the "Bay of Pigs" and immediately came under heavy fire.     On July 20, 1969, American astronauts Neil Armstrong and Edwin Aldrin became the first humans ever to land on the moon. Armstrong also became the first person to walk on the moon.
