    Korean War

    Soldiers from North Korea passed the 38th parallel (boarder of the Koreas) and entered South Korea. The U.S. stepped in for democratic South Korea and pushed North Korea back into their section of the land. They pushed them so far back, the almost got to China. The communist Chinese government then decided to assist North Korea. An armistice was then signed, stopping the fighting but not creating peace.
