During the Berlin Airlift supplies and candy were dropped down onto Berlin for 2 million people. -

10 western European countries, the United States, and Canada became allies and any attack on any of them, was treated like they all were attacked. -

Senator Joseph McCarthy's practice of publicly accusing people of being disloyal with little or no evidence. -
Korean War
North Korea with allies of the Soviet Union against South Korea. -
Warsaw Pact
Called for military cooperation among the Soviet Union, Albania, Bulgaria, Czechoslovakia, Hungry, Poland, Romania, and East Germany, if one of these countries was attacked they would work together to defend it. -
Vietnam War
Communist-allies (had taken over Vietnam) against anti-communists in Vietnam, Loas, and Cambodia. Took place until April 30th,1975. -

The Berlin Wall was built to divide East Berlin from Weat Berlin from 1961 to 1989. -
Cuban Missle Crisis
The Soviet Union and Cuba had bombs near the border of the United States, Cuba and the Soviet Union were allies working against the United States. The United States with the feeling that the Soviets would bomb them very soon, decided to block the Soviets from entering the Bay of Pigs with supplies some boats sunk while others were forced to return to Russia. -
End of the Cold War
The Cold War ends after 45 years.
