The Germans were still in Romania from World War II, and started to leave Greece because of this.Stalin did not help the communists, even though they were the powerful group in Greece. On December 2, 1944, the fight started between the British and the EAM. The nationalists won.

    The Berlin Blockade was from 1948 to 1949. It forced the Western Allied powers to abandon their post-World War II power in West Berlin.
  • Korean War

    The Korean war lasted from 1950 to 1953. The North Korean Communist army invaded non-Communist South Korea. Kim Il-sung's North Korean army, armed with Soviet tanks, took over South Korea, the United States went to South Korea.
  • Vietnam War

    Lasted from 1954 to 1975! France had claimed Vietnam as a colony, and the communist forces. In 1973 a “third” Vietnam war began between North and South Vietnam but the U.S didn't get too involved then.
