Korean war
After Japan conquered Korea in the early twentieth century Korea was split at the 38 parallel. North Korea attacked South Korea first and took Seoul South Korea's capital. China sent troops to go help North Korea and the US sent troops to help South Korea and with their help South Korea got their capital again and gained North Korea's capital. -
Vietnam war
After 1954 Vietnam was part of the cold war.Vietnam was temporary divided because the Western powers agreed it would be better. Elections were called to reunite Vietnam but the elections were never held because Americans thought Communists would win. At first the US only sent only supplies but later sent thousands of soldiers to South Vietnam.
