Truman Doctrine
This policy was set forth by the U.S president Harry Truman. The United States helped other countries fight against communism. This was the start of the cold war. -
Marshall Plan
The marshall plan was also called the European Recovery Program. This plan was to give economic aid to European countries to make their economy better after World War II. -

The spread of communism and communists through the United States. The Senator McCarthy stared accusing Americans of being "communists" and question alot of people about their patriotism. -
Korean War
The war began when North Korean troops invaded South Korea. The war last for almost 3 years over the peninsula.Instead of ending with a peace treat it ended with an armistice. -
Vietnam War
This war represented a major aspect of the Cold war. Vietnam was divided into two parts, North and South Vietnam< this resulted as a withdrawal of the U.S forces in 1975.
