CLIMATE CHANGE

  • Greenhouse Gases

    Greenhouse Gases
John Tyndall discovered that there was an Ice Age. He was trying to figure out how gases could block heat radiation. He found out that Carbon Dioxide gas, and water vapor block heat radiation. He was the first to prove the Greenhouse Effect. He was also the first to demonstrate that visually transparent gases are infarared emitters.
  • Global Warming

    Global Warming
Many reports have shown that the planet was getting warmer. Especially in the Arctic. Guy Stewart Callender linked Carbon Dioxide emmisions and Global Warming. This theory was known as the "Callendar Effect".
  • Venus, Earth and Mars

    Venus, Earth and Mars
In 1960, there were observations of Venus and Mars, just like Earth, could have different atmospheres. Greenhouse gases made Venus really hot, and Mars very cold. It was evidence that climate was a delicate balance.
  • Orbital Effect

    Orbital Effect
In 1922, a man named Milutin Milankovich found a possible explanation for the Ice Ages; he guessed that orbital changes caused the Ice Ages. On January 24, 1966; there were evidences that orbital changes caused the Ice Ages. Some of this evidence was found in the coral reefs on the seabeds.
  • Warming Trend

    Warming Trend
Many scientists detected an overall warming trend in the earths atmosphere extending back to 1880. This is evidence to the Greehouse Effect. Which is Carbon Dioxide increases the earths atmosphere.
  • More Gases

    More Gases
Veerabhadran Ramanathan detected small quantities of 30 rare gases that threaten to heat up the earths atmosphere faster than Carbon Dioxide. These 30 rare gases can make the atmosphere heat faster by 50 years.
  • Not Natural

In 1988, John Hansen of Nasa, stated that he was 99% positive that the earths warming trend was not naturally caused. He thought that the Carbon Dioxide gases in the atmosphere are artificial gases.
  • First I.P.C.C Report

    First I.P.C.C Report
A group of scientist stated that emissions of Carbon Dioxide were immediatly cut by sixty percent, and that global temperatures would increase over the next century. I.P.C.C. stands for InterGovermental Panel on Climate Change.
