First Battle Bull Run
This battle was one of the first battles that was fought in the time span of the Civil War. It was fought Mananas Junction, Virginia. The two opponents in the Civil War were The Union and Confederates. Irvin McDowell lead the Union, while General McDonald Beauregard lead the Confederates. The confederates won with 390 killed. Union lost with 480 killed.The effects were that Irvin was Replaced with a new general. -
The Battle of Shiloh
In the same year as the previous battle occurred the Battle of Shiloh. The unions Generals are Ulysses S. Grant, and Don Carlos Buell. The Confederate Generals are Albert Sidney Johnston, and P.G.T Beauregard. The battle was fought at Pittsburg landing, Harden County, Tennessee. In conclusion, Union won and with a lost of 13,000 people killed. The Confederates lost with 10,000 killed. -
Battle of Second Bull Run
On August 28, 1862, occurred the Battle of the Second Bull run. This was a part 2 to the First Battle Bull Run. It was fought in Manassas Virginia. The person that now lead the Union was John Pope. He and his army were against the confederates. Robert E Lee lead the Confederates. Within, this fight it resulted with the Confederates beating the Union. The Union loss with a total of 3,000 killed, while Confederates won with 1,750 killed. -
