    The Courthouse is in Virginia. The Confederate genreal Lee met up with the Union general Grant. Grant's army overwhelmed Lee and he surrendered. It was officially the end of the Civil War.

    It was at Fords Theatre in Washington D.C. The dirty deed was done by John Wilkes Booth. The original plan was to kidnap him. But that didn't work so they just shot him instead. He died the next morning.

    It officially abolished and continuted to prohibit slavery. It was not put into action right after the Civil War. They had to get organized first. Then they passed the 13th, 14th, and 15th amendments.
