    Segregation of public schools was a violation of the 14th amendment. So there was a civil rights case called Brown v. Board of education of Topeka, Kansas.

    After Rosa Parks refused to give up her seat on a bus in Montgomery, Alabama. MLK proposed a citywide boycott against the public transportation system, where they would not use buses and walk or catch a ride another way instead.

    Nine African American student arrived at their school Little Rock, But nation guard prevented them from entering and were forced home. A couple of weeks later they went back to the school protected by federal troops, which allowed them to enter the school.

    This movement protested the segregation policies in Albany, Ga. A lot of groups took part in this movement like the SNCC, NAACP, and the SCLC.

    The goal of this campaign was to end discriminatory economic policies. The would use non violent like marches and sit-ins, but police would then use dogs and high-pressure water hoses against protesters.

    Was the largest political rally for human rights ever in the United States, over 200,000 people were involved with the March on Washington. MLK then delivered his I Have a Dream speech on Lincoln Memorial.

    Many individuals vehemently opposed the vietnam war in the massive peace movement. King delivered a speech called Beyond Vietnam, and his stance got a lot of his allies killed and soon enough himself.

    Was formed to protest segregated housing and educational defiecies. MLK led a march near Marquette Park in a white neighborhood. A couple of weeks later and agreement was made to build housing in white areas to make mortgages available regardless of race or neighborhood.

    The goal of this campaign was to gain more economic and human rights for poor americans from all races. A major march occured at the Solidarity day Rally got Jobs on June 19, with it ending when bulldozer's arrived and mowed down the city after 5 days. The federal government made plenty of programs to end hunger.

    This march was called this because of the violent beatings troopers gave the protesters as they tried to march peacefully. 600 protesters were trying to march to Selma.
