Cheyanne's Timeline :)

  • The most amazing child ever was born!

The most amazing child ever was born!
Fifteen years ago Melissa made a decision that brought a bundle of love and joy into everyone's life. Cheyanne Rose Markwell was born aka me! My mom has told me on several occasions that I was her easiest child to carry for nine months and birth. I came out bright eyed and not crying a single bit. She vividly remembers me being glued to the soap opera playing on the television. If i'm not mistaken, I think the name of it was, "The Young and the Restless."
  • Preschool alphabet

    Preschool alphabet
Preschool is probably one of my biggest memories of school. I never complained about it because I genuinely enjoyed getting up and going everyday... oh boy did things change. I even met some of my best friends through preschool. We would all go to our classrooms in the morning and sit on the area rug to sing our alphabet. I used to always think it was so boring but it honestly got me extra prepared for primary school.
  • My Name

    My Name
Like I said before, I learned my alphabet in preschool but I learned how to write my name in kindergarten. I didn't even realize that I knew how until I was doing homework one night and my mom about had a cow when she watched me write my name at the top of the paper.
  • 1st Grade Idol

    1st Grade Idol
My first grade teacher would read our class, "Judy B. Jones," everyday for like an whole hour. I looked forward to our daily reading session everyday. It was like a movie playing in my mind and I wanted to be just like Judy by the end of the year.
  • In a Dark, Dark Room and Other Scary Stories

In a Dark, Dark Room and Other Scary Stories
"In a Dark, Dark Room and Other Scary Stories," was terrifying to me as a second grader. It was my teachers favorite children's Halloween book and i'm pretty sure we were required to read it. The scariest story in that book was the one about the girl with the green ribbon around her neck. My best friend and I would read that book over and over aging but still about pee on ourselves every time!
  • Read Across America Week

    Read Across America Week
Since birth, I've always had the tendency to try my best to out do everyone at everything. In honor of Read Across America Week, if we read a certain number of books by the end of the week then we would win a happy meal. I loved happy meals and of course I wanted one! On the first day of the week I chose to read, " Green Eggs and Ham." I fell in love with that book and I about had every word memorized from front to back on it.
  • Panther Reading Group

    Panther Reading Group
In fourth grade we were put into different reading groups targeting the reading level that we were at. I was put into the panther group which was the highest. I was so proud of myself and we were required to read chapter books to stay in that group. I read some of the best books that I ever had due to that group.
  • To All the Boys I've Loved Before

To All the Boys I've Loved Before
My all time favorite book is, "To All the Boys I've Loved Before." I purchased this book at an middle school book fair, not having any intentions of falling in love with it. I've read it several times and will probably read it several more times. They even made a movie out of the book!
  • Washington D.C.

    Washington D.C.
In eighth grade, I got the opportunity to go to Washington D.C.. It was one of the best experiences and we got to see so many amazing monuments. I had a great time and made even closer bonds. The only thing I would change was spraining my ankle because I was in the awfullest pain.
  • FFA Creed

    FFA Creed
My freshman year of high school Mr. Hammons had no one to memorize the FFA Creed in my class. I said i'd do it jokingly but ended up memorizing it within two days and never felt more accomplished in my life.
  • My Papaw

    My Papaw
I observed how an addiction can take control of your life. My life is completely different since my papaw passed away and he suffered through stage four throat cancer.
