  • Treaty of Versailles

    The Treaty of Versailles was a peace settlement signed after WWI ended. The goal of this was to ensure another World War wouldn't break out and to get revenge on Germany for starting the first war. From this, Germany had lost a lot of land and so Hitler wanted to get Germans their Labensraum (living space) back.

  • Five Year Plan

    After becoming leader of the Communist party, Stalin desgins a Five Year Plan to focuse on making the nation militarily, industrially, and finacially self-sufficient. This started Russia's totalitarianism.
  • Hitler Becomes Chanceler

    Hitler becomes Chanceler of Germany and his only goal is to set Germany back on the right track. He soon gained total control over Germany and started convincing Germans of the Jew's inferiorness.
  • Hitler Breaks his Promise

    Hitler ignored his pledge to France and Britian and took over the rest of Czechoslovakia. This led Great Britian to feel as if only war could stop Hitler.
  • Germany Invades Polland

    Germany invaded Poland to get more land and to ultimately help Germany's economic state become more sufficient and sustainable. It was also believed that Germany invaded Poland to destroy Jewish camps and save the Germans who were living in Poland.
  • Britian and France Declare War on Germany

    When Germany invaded Poland, France and Britian ordered the Germans out. When Hitler refused, Great Britian and France declared war on Germany. This marked the begining of WW2.
