    The different Acts
    Multiple acts placed on the colonies from 1649 to 1774. These acts placed taxes on the colonies Taxes inclued tax on sugar, documents and tea. The Acts also forced colonies to do something against thier will, like housing a British regular. The acts also punished the colonies, for example shutting down the Boston port after the Boston Tea party
  • The Great Awakneing

    The Great Awakneing
    Revivial of the Evangelical religion. Very popular betweem 1730s through 1740s. Impacted the way Americans viewed religion and changed American Potestantism. People included Jonathan Edwards along with other preachers.
  • French and Indian War

    French and Indian War
    War that lasted from 1754 all the way through 1763. It is also refered as the seven year war. This War involved the French Empire and British Empire fighting who had control over the ohio river Valley. The war was ended with the Treaty of Paris ehich grsnted more land for the Britain and the French were left with less land in North America.
  • Pontiac's Rebellion

    The colonist weren't the only ones upset by the outcome of the French and Indian War. The natives were also upset that was why native tribes joined togerther. The powerful tribes joined together to drive the British out of their land.
  • Proclamation of 1763

    Following the french and indian War, Britain was granted more land. Although they had more land, it was only for the indians. A imaginary line existed for the colonist that they couldn't go past the Appaliachen Mountains
  • Boston Tea Party

    Boston Tea Party
    The American colonies defied the British goverment. In response to the taxes being placed on the colonies, Samuel Adams alonf with other Sons of Libery, dressed as Indians boarded three ships in the Boston harbor and threw 342 chest overboard.Was the final straw between the colonies and british and eventuallly led to the beginnig of the Revolutionary war.
