    The Sugar Act
    The Sugar Act was a law which Britian made for the colonists. The Act put a tax on sugar and molasses to end smuggling of those two items. England made a lot of money off of the taxes that the colonists had to pay. This happened in the British colonies.

    The Committees of Correspondence
    The Committee of Correspondence were groups that provided colonial leadership in the New World. They did anything they could to protect the colonies. The Committee of Correspondence was located all over the colonies but mainly in Virginia. The main reason the committees were set up was to protect the colonies from attack.

    The Stamp Act of 1765 involved the British Parliament and the colonies. The act placed a tax on all paper goods in the colonies. England put the taxes on paper goods because they had to get back the money Britian lost in Pontiac's War.

    The Sons of Liberty was an orginization of colonists that opposed the Stamp Act. They were located in the colonies and they protested against paying taxes for paper goods.

    The Townshend Act involved Britian and the colonies. The Acts were four acts that attempted to exert authorithy over colonies through representative assembly. They were located in the colonies and the British inforced these acts to have more power over the colonists.

    The Boston Massacre involved the British and the colonists. It was when The Red Coats came over to the colonies and started to fight with the colonists. It was in the streets of Boston. The colonists did not want to pay taxes so they rebelled and The Red Coats killed five colonists.

    The Tea Act was between Britian and the colonists. The act taxed tea very heavily. The act was inforced in the colonies. The Tea Act was part of the Townshend Acts but England took the other three acts away and left the Tea Act which made colonists very upset. They kept the taxes on tea because England still needed money and the colonists drank a lot of tea so they kept the tax on tea.

    The Boston Tea Party was the colonists throwing tea into the Boston Harbor to show Britian that they were tired of the taxes on their tea. The colonists rebelled and did not pay the taxes on tea either, which made Britian very mad.

    The Intolerable Acts involved the British Parliament and the colonists. The British government closed the city’s harbor, took away the colony’s charter of 1691, they allowed British officials to make colonists go to England or another colony for trial, and last, there were new arrangements for housing British troops in America. These laws were enforced in America and in the colonies. The Intolerable Acts were an effect of the Boston Tea Party.

    The First Continental Congress were a body of delegates who spoke for the people of the colonies. They were located in the colonies but specifically in Pennsylvania. They talked about the taxes and rebellions and what Britian was doing to them.
