Because of the treaty, Germany was forced to give reperations to the Allies, forcing them to print more. This caused hyperinflation. Germany was also forced to give up about 13% of it's land.

After Kaiser Wilhelm was forced to step down, Germany decided to create the Weimar Republic, which was a coalition government (A governement where many different political parties work together to govern). This caused Germany to become weak, making citizens want a more powerful leader.
