The League of Nations was set up after the end of World War I. It was meant to keep peace throughout the world. But during World War II, the League of Nations did nothing to stop Hitler. They had no power, no army, they did not act quickly enough, and not every country joined it.

Mussolini's Facism contributed to World War II because Facism is an idea of a bigger military, less power to the people, and seeing war as acceptable answer to every conflict. With Fascism being bad enough, Mussonlini allied himself with Hitler, making the matters worse.

The Great Depression contributed to the cause of World War II because of the impact of an econmic downfall to American and some parts of Europe. This allowed the Nazi power to rise up in Germany.

Hitler building up Germany's army and weapons started to scare other countries, American, Great Britain, France, etc., and was the betrayal of the Treaty of Versailles. This was the very beggining of many events that ultimatly lead to WWII.

Hitler creating an airforce and warships was also a betrayal of the Treaty of Versailles. This frighted the League of Nations even further, but they did nothing to stop it. Their negligence added on to the causes of World War II.

Rhineland was military territory that was off limits to Germany because of the Treaty of Versailles. Hitler once again betrayed it, but the League of Nations still does nothing to stop what Hitler is doing.

Hitler invading Poland was probably the turning point for the League of Nations. Britain and France finally agree that they must intervene, but America still is cautious about joining.

When Hitler rose to power he started to blame the Jews for the downfall of the country after World War I. As if blaming the Jews wasn't enough, he started to gather them in "communities", or consentration camps, and one by one killed them off. His plan was to create the "perfect" race, the Aryan race.

Pear Harbor being bombed by Japan was one of the "final straws" for the Americans. This was one of the turning points for America, realizing that they won't be able to stay out of the World Wide conflict that was happening.
