    Proclamation of 1763

    The proclamation of 1763 was issued to end the Seven Years' War. It followed the treaty of Paris to end the war. In the end it moved french land to Great Britain.

    the sugar act was passed on April 5th, 1764. it was a revenue raising act that aimed at the ending of smuggling sugar and molasses from the Dutch and French. It lead to paid for the seven years' war
  • The Stamp Act

    The stamp act was passed by the British saying that all legal documents and printed papers must have an official stamp. This forced every colonist to buy a stamp for their papers. It also mad the colonists extremely angry saying it is forcing them to pay without their consent.

    The Quartering Act was the British requiring colonial authorities to provide multiple needs to British town or villages, as well as quarters. This upset the colonists because they were being taxed to pay for the army when they could be buying food and paying taxes. This was a response to issues that rose between french and Indian war.

    The Boston massacre was a deadly riot performed by the British. the British confronted Boston and killed three people in the crowd. three people died out of 300-400 people in that crowd who were verbally abusing the British. this fight escalated quickly into a very chaotic time. only 5 in total were the colonists killed.

    The Boston tea party was held in 1773 and was a political protest with american colonists dumping 342 chests of tea. It was to show Britain that Americans would not pay taxation and asserted their dominance. The american colonists for the reason that British was imposing "taxation without representation."

    The Quebec act was an act of the parliament of Britain. this set procedures of governance. it allowed the french Catholics to get good jobs in the government.

    The Boston port act was passed by the British, closing off the port of Boston and demanding around 1 million dollars for the amount of tea dumped into the ocean. This lead to the fact that Boston could not bring proper supplies to animals such as horses and cows. this would cause a lot of damage. this invaded their privacy and property and made colonists very angry.

    Administration Of Justice Act

    This Act was passed in 1774 and was lead to Britain ensuring a fair trial for British officials who were charged with offenses. the offenses were upholding the law with protests in Massachusetts bay colony. It was passed to enforce laws and punish criminals.
  • Massachusetts Government Act

    Massachusetts Government Act

    This act was the British parliament issuing the intolerable acts. this was to punish Massachusetts for its power over the 13 colonies. this violated Massachusetts natural rights and their colonial characters.
