    Treaty Of Paris
    On Febuary 10 1763 the Treaty Of Paris was officially signed and brought the French and Indian war to an end. The Treaty of Paris is a document that stated that Britain had won the war and the French had lost all of their land in North America. The treaty of Paris is important because England gained massive amounts of land while France lost almost all its land in North America. It is important because it drove out all the French in North America.

    Britain Raised Taxes On The American Colonies
    Britain raised taxes on the 13 American Colonies. The taxation took place from 1763 to 1775. Britain also regulated taxes and trade in that time period. The taxes helped pay off the debt Britain has aquired from the French and Indian War. The taxation of the American Colonies is important because it causes friction between the Colonies. Another reason why the taxation was important because it emerged the burden by heavy debts.

    The British place taxes on sugar, wine and other necessary things. The taxation took effect on April 5 1764. The Bristish put tax on sugar and other items because they wanted more money and wanted this money to help provide security for the Colonies. This is important because the Bristish hoped that this act would force Colonists to sell their goods to Britain as opposed to selling to other countries.

    On March 22 1765 the Stamp act taxation took place. The Stamp act put taxes on printed paper they used.The money collected by this act was to be used to help pay the costs of protecting the American Colonies. The Stamp act is important because it brought revenue to the British. The taxes on the printed materials helped England to raise money in the Colonies without approval of the legislatures.

    The Townshend Act was named after Charles Townshend. The Townshend Act placed new taxes on glass ,paints ,paper,lead and tea. This tax was done to reduce the property tax in England. This act was to raise money in the colonies to pay salaries of governors and judges. The Townshend Act is important becuase judges would be able to be independent of colonial rule.

    The Boston Massacre was when British Soliders killed five colonists when they were attacked by an anti-tax mob in Boston. The soliders were put on trial for murdur and found "Not Guilty". Many colonists came to believe that the british will kill to enforce their unfair tax laws.

    The Tea Act of 1773 was another measure imposed on the American colonists by the heavily indebted British government in the decade leading up to the American Revolutionary War. The act's main purpose was not to raise revenue tword the colonies but to bail out the floundering East India Company, a key factor in the British economy. The British government granted the company a monopoly on the importation and sale of tea.The colonists did not agree which led to the boston tea Party.

    On December 1773 in Massachusetts, memebers from the "Sons of liberty"(an anti-tax group led by John Hancock and Samuel Adams)dumped a large shipment of british tea into Boston Harbor to protest about the Tea Act. King George the 3rd declared that the "colonies are in a state of rebellion" and sends more troops to the colonies to enforce the law.

    The Intolerable Acts were laws that were passed by parliament to punish Boston for the Tea Party. Boston Hardor was closed, Public meetings are made illegal, and military rule was imposed in the colony until the tea was paid for.

    The Battle of Lexington and Concord was the first battle of the Amercian Revolution. British troops leave Boston to search for weapons being stored by the "Sons of Liberty" and to arrest John hancock and Samuel Adams. Paul Revere warned 4,000 colonists, attack the british as the march from Boston to Concord and then back to Boston. In the end the bristish suffered 273 casualties, and the Americans 90.
