    Navigation Act
    The Navigation Acts were several laws passed in the 1600's by The English Parliament Their purpose was to protect English trade and it was enforced so that the American Colonies and the Dutch couldn't profit from overseas trade between the West Indies and Europe. The act eventually contributed to growing colonial resentment with the imposition of additional dietd on surgar.

    End of French and Indian War
    The Treaty of Paris ended the war and the British Parliament taxed the Colonists without their consent. The reason why the Treaty of Paris was signed is because, France gave up all its territories in mainland North Amerca, effectively ending any foreign military threat to the British colonies there.

  • Sugar Act

    Sugar Act
    The Sugar Act put taxes on molassesand sugar which impacted the making of rum in New England. The money that was coming from this act was for the british military. This act also inculed other goods such as wines, coffee, cambric and printed calico. Was made to stop trade between New England and the Middle colonies with French, Dutch, and Spanish in the West Indies
  • Currency Act

    Currency Act
    Parliament passed the Currency Act, effectively assuming control of the colonial currency system. The act prohibited the issue of any new bills and the reissue of existing currency. Parliament favored a "hard currency" system based on the pound sterling, but was not inclined to regulate the colonial bills. Also, the colonies protested vehemently against this.

    The Boston Massacre was caused by pervious troubles with the British and the Colonist. The soldier in front of the Custom House eventually attacked the colonists which brought more colonists to come Someone began ringing the church bells which usually signified a fire. Then the solider called for help, setting up the clash which we now call the Boston Massacre.

    Was made to bail British East Indian Company and expand there control over the tea trade to all coloniest.The tea act allowed the East Indian Company to sell there tea in large surplus below prises chagred by colonist. This did lead colonist to boycot tea.

    Intolerable Acts
    After the French and Indian War, the British Government decided to reap greater benefits for the colonies.The colonies were pressed with greater taxes without any representation in Britain. This act led to the Boston Tea Party. In retaliation, the British passed several punative acts aimed at bringing the colonies back into submission with the King.

    The Qurating Act was nade so that colonist in the 13 colonies were forced to provied any housing and food for any soilder who needed it. The Qurating act is directly linked to the American Revoution.

    The Battle of Lexington and Concord marked the start of open conflict between thirteen colonsts and the British.This battle also marked the opening of armed hostilities between the Kingdom of Great Britain and its thirteen colonies in America.
