  • Proclamation of 1763

    The Proclamation of 1763 signed by King George III of england settlement west of Appalachain Moutains. It requires those already settled in those regions to return east in an attempt to ease tenisons with natives.
  • The Sugar Act of 1764

    This act incrraased the duties on imported sugar and other iteams such as textiles, coffee, wines, and indigo. Under the staomp act all printed materials were taxed, including, newspaper, pumphlets, bills, legal docs, licenese, lmanaces, dice and playing cards.
  • Townshend Acts

    In 1767, The english passed townshend revenue acts, imposing a new series of taxes on the colonist to pay fornew costs of the items taxed such as paper, tea, glass, lead and paints.The act also established a new colonial board.
  • The Boston Massacre

    The Boston Massacre was a riot people fighting for tax laws and it was a deadly riot and a brawl. The british fired their guns into a crowd of 30-40 people. 5 people died in the riot. It happened by some royal troop firing a blank and it scared the other troops so they all fired their weapons.
  • Boston Tea Party of 1773

    On the evening of December 16, 1773, "Sons of Liberty" Dressed as mohawks and dumped forty-five tons of OP tea into the Boston habor. One of the facts about the tea it was mostly Chinese and not indian and lots of it was "green".
  • The Boston Port Act

    Boston Port closed the port of boson in `774 util the price of the dumped tea was recovered, They moved the capital to salem. Allowed royal troops to stay in strangers houses or empty builiding if barracks were not avablie.
  • The Intolerable Acts

    The Intolerable Acts were a bunch of laws meant to punish massachutes colonists for their defiance in the tea party and the taxation for the british governments.
  • Massachusetts Regulating Act

    Massachusetts Regulating Act made all law officers subject to appointment by the royal government and banned all town meetings that didnt have approval. It was illegal to have town meetings with out approval.
  • Impartial Administration of Justice Act

    Impartial Administration of Justice Act allowed the royal govner of a colony to move trails to other colonies or even to england if he feared juries in those colonies wouldnt judge a case fairly.
  • The Quebec Act

    The Quebec Act granted civil government and religious freedom to catholics living in Quebec.The Quebec Act was also a French civil law combined with British law.
