    * Even though the British had won the battle, the American troops realized that the British army was not as powerful as they thought
    * Even though the battle lasted only 3 hours, it was among one of the most dealiest

    *Britian lost about 63 men, where as the Continental had lost about 970 men
    *Even though George Washington knew the British were going to attack New York, he still wanted to try to hold on to NYC and Brooklyn
