    Rats would carry fleas that had bacillus called "Yersinia pestis." When people would throw trash into streets and not bathe it would attracked more and more mice to cities. Genoese merchants came to Sicily carrying the plague.

    1. Trade decreased resulting in higher prices for items.
    2. The old manorial system was abolished. 3.Serfs abandoned their manor because they wanted to be paid more.

    1. Populations of towns drops enormously.
    2. People blamed the Jews for starting the plague. They were forced out of homes and even massacred.

    1. Peasants wanted higher wages but the nobles would not give them. Then the peasants revolted in England, France, Italy, and Belgium.
    2. The Church lost much of its respect because the prayers did not stop the bubonic plague. Priest then abandoned their duties.
